Our testing focus weeks will be 4/8-12 and 4/15-19

Reminders

Schedules will vary.

Each Educational Facilitator will share the testing schedule times for your learner.


We recommend only taking one test a day.


The individual tests are:

ELA CAT, ELA PT, Math CAT, Math PT, CAST

Download the secure browser

  • If you are using a PC, click HERE and then select Windows on the left.
  • If you are using an iPad, click HERE and then select iPadOS on the left.
  • If you are using a Mac, click on the Apple logo on the top left corner of your screen and then click on "About This Mac" to see which operating system you have. Then click HERE.

  • Make sure the browser has downloaded and you are able to open it


  • Close the browser

  • Open the secure browser and click on "Practice and Test Training Site"


  • Toggle Guest User and Guest Session to "off"


  • Enter your learner's legal first name and their SSID number to sign in
    • Your EF will give you the SSID#

  • 3rd-8th and 11th grades
  • English Language Arts Tests
  • Mathematics Tests


California Science Tests (CAST)

  • 5th, 8th, and once in High School


How long will it take?

These are average times. Everyone tests at a different pace, so please understand your learner may test a little faster or take a little longer than the listed times.

Question Types

How to log in to the CAASPP test

Step 1: Open the Secure Browser

Type your FIRST ​NAME ONLY

Enter your SSID (your ​EF should have given ​this to you

Enter the session ID ​(get this from your EF ​or the EF you are ​testing with)

Click sign in

Step 3: Selecting Your Test

  • Select the test you will be taking.


  • On the next screen verify that the name, grade, and SSID shown is yours.

Step 4: Wait for Approval

  • Wait for the test administrator to approve your test

Step 5: Camera Check

  • Allow permission for the camera
  • Click the camera icon
  • If your camera is working, click I can see myself

Step 6: Check Microphone

  • Click the microphone icon and record yourself speaking
  • Click the stop button when done speaking
  • Click play
  • If you can hear your recording click “I heard my recording”

Step 7: Check The Sound

  • Do NOT use wireless headphones
  • Click the play button
  • If you heard the sound, click I could play the video and sound

Step 8: Text to Speech Test

  • Click the speaker button
  • Adjust the sounds as needed for you to understand the reader/speaker
  • Click “I heard the voice”
  • Click the green continue button

Step 9: Begin Test

Click begin test now to start the test
